The Salomon Speed Assault 2 GTX is an ultra-lightweight tactical shoe engineered for speed, flexibility, and performance in demanding environments. Weighing approximately 330 g, it is designed for fast-paced operations in diverse conditions—from hot desert terrain to humid jungle environments and wet climates.

Built with a strong focus on mobility, this model combines the agility of a trail running shoe with the protection required for tactical use. The updated design improves fit around the upper foot, enhancing comfort and control during dynamic movement.

The upper construction combines Ripstop fabric, Anti-Debris Mesh, TPU reinforcements, and Lycra stretch materials. The Anti-Debris Mesh prevents dirt, sand, and small particles from entering, while maintaining excellent breathability.

Ripstop fabric increases resistance to tearing and abrasion, ensuring durability in harsh conditions. Lycra stretch panels improve flexibility and allow the shoe to move naturally with the foot, enhancing comfort and support.

The integrated GORE-TEX membrane provides full waterproof protection while allowing moisture vapor to escape. This ensures dry and comfortable feet across changing weather conditions.

The SensiFit™ system wraps the foot from the midsole to the lacing system, delivering a precise and secure fit. The Quicklace™ system allows fast adjustment with a single pull, while the lace pocket keeps excess lace safely stored during movement.

Additional protection is provided by a reinforced rubber toe cap and mudguard, which protect against impacts, abrasion, and environmental elements while improving overall durability.
